EU support programmes to the companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina
BAS - Programme for providing business consulting services in BiH. The main goal of BAS programme is aid to small and medium sized enterprises through providing financial support for using business advising and consulting services. In total, 40 companies from the Republic of Srpska used services of this programme in the previous year. Within the framework of this project the Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides help in regards to promoting BAS programme, animating companies from the Republic of Srpska and selecting certain consultants.

In year 2004 the project “Raising Competitiveness by developing Clusters” has started and it is run by the USA Agency for the International Development – USAID.  Within two sectors, i.e. wood processing and tourism,  developing clusters should enable increase in profitability and productivity of the companies from BiH through producing goods of higher level of processing and services with higher value. The Chamber acts in this project as a coordinator.

The Project USAID LAMP is the one referring to the development of enterprises in the field of agriculture and food industry. The Chamber acts in this project as a coordinator.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Srpska, in cooperation with the Faculty of Technological Sciences in Banja Luka and as a member of the Consortium IB JEP 16140-2001 of the Project Tempus, participates in realisation of this development project. The goal of the project is that enterprises doing food production and processing through the educational programme became introduced to the HACCP principle which includes implementing quality and hygienic correctness/safety of the products intending that the as soon as possible implement HACCP in practice and prepare for entering the EU market. The project predicts preparation of the teachers in faculty meaning transfer of knowledge to the participants of the programme, i.e. companies from the food industry.
